I am a wallpaper nut and, over the years, have accumulated a large collection of beautiful wallpaper backgrounds. We’ve published quite a few articles previously covering multiple websites that offer free hi-res wallpaper to download and here is another site I came across recently called Peapix.

Peapix provides thousands of free hi-res images sourced from Bing and all around the world. Here are just a few samples — NOTE: These images have been resized to suit this format, all images on the PeaPix website are hi-res and full-size:
To download an image:
- Select the image (left-click on the image) and, on the new page that opens, click the Download button
- A new download button will then pop up at the top of the page including the image’s resolution. Click that button and the image will be displayed full size
- Right-click the image and select “Save image as”

But wait… there’s more. Peapix also provides a huge range of short video loops to download and share as well as a nice variety of themes — all free, of course. The video loops are particularly impressive.
