Every button or icon on your ribbon is associated with a shortcut. You can view these by pressing ALT. This will show the top-level shortcuts for your ribbon tabs.
Press the letter key for a tab. For instance, press N for Insert, and you will see all the shortcut keys displayed on each group of the ribbon.
For example, to insert a picture, you can use ALT + N + P.
