Facebook Chat vs Ad Blockers
Facebook has a built-in chat client on its site. This morning, my sister was trying to send a message to another sister, but was met with a blank white message chat box.
Most times, web page loading errors can be fixed by clearing out the cache files, or the temporary internet files. This was not one of those “most times” cases.
Ad Blockers
Other things that can interfere are your security programs. In this case, it turned out to be Adblock Plus (this was in Chrome, by the way, on Windows 7).
Fix It
So, load up Facebook, then click on the Adblock Plus icon in the top right-hand corner of the browser (it looks like a red stop sign).
Then, click Enabled on this site so it toggles to Disabled on this site. Other Ad Blockers should have similar options.
