You can use sideheads as a different image for the information you are writing about. I know it may sound a bit complicated for some, but this is really a very simple and useful operation. You create sideheads in Word using text boxes.
Follow the steps below to learn how:
- Make sure you are in Print Layout view.
- Display the page where you would like to have your sidehead.
- Make sure that you have a wide enough margin to accommodate your sidehead.
- Make sure the Insert tab of your Ribbon is displayed.
- In the Text group, click the drop-down arrow next to Text box to display many different choices to chose from.
- You can also click on Draw a Text Box at the bottom of that list to add a text box to contain your sidehead text.
- Make sure your text box is completely between the edge of your document and the your text margin.
- Your sidehead has now been created and you can key in your text.
- You can design your text box in any manner you like.
