How To Convert Handwriting To Text In OneNote

I know there are some naysayers when it comes to OneNote, but there are also quite a few people who still use it and rely on it. It definitely still has a place in your bag of tricks for quick and easy working.

Follow the steps below to learn how:

  1. From the Draw menu, you can use the Lasso Tool to select handwritten text.
  2. Click Ink to Text.

This will instantly convert everything into text. And yes, it will still retain colors, case, and relative sizes.

Like I said, quick and easy, very easy.  Everyone knows I love to save time and keystrokes!

  1. Brilliant! I frequently use OneNote to capture text from images with print, but I had no idea this useful feature was available. Thank you for this.
