This week I wanted to change gears from Google to the Roku TV. If you missed the last couple of articles, you can find them here:
Now that you have that knowledge, let me explore this new subject. My kid was messing around on our Roku TV and changed the wallpaper. This got me thinking that maybe some of you don’t know how to do this. Since I know how, I wanted to share that knowledge with you. If you have followed me for a while, then you know I like customizing things. If you can add a little personality to your Roku, I want to show you how. Before we jump in to this, make sure to check out these other articles I have written on this subject:
I guess it is time to start up those Roku TVs and get this lesson going.
How To Change Wallpaper On Roku TV
I will show this on my TCL Smart Roku TV.
Step 1: Turn on your Roku TV and look to the left menu.
Step 2: On the left menu scroll down until you find Settings. Move over to the menu in the middle and select Theme. Now click the OK button on your remote.
Step 3: This will bring up the Theme screen. From here look to the left menu and select Wallpapers. Press OK.
Step 4: On the Wallpapers screen you will see a few sections:
- Featured wallpapers
- Popular wallpapers
- You might also see My Wallpapers
For this article, I’m going to look under the Featured wallpapers. The one I will select is, “Magic Hour: Spring,” and push OK on the remote.
Step 5: This will take you to the Description screen for it. On here, select the Get wallpaper option and push OK.
Step 6: You should now get a window called, “Enter Roku PIN.” Enter your PIN and select Get Wallpaper at the bottom. Push OK on the remote. Now you should see the Adding window.
Step 7: After it is done you have to do one more thing. On the middle menu, select the Set as Wallpaper. Push OK on the remote.
Step 8: Now your Wallpaper is set as you can see in this image. If you want to Revert to default wallpaper or Remove the wallpaper altogether, you can do that on the menu in the middle. DONE!
You now know how to add a wallpaper to your Roku screen. Time to share your new knowledge with your family and friends.
