Freeware Game of the Week – Chips Challenge

Chips Challenge – tile based, highly addictive puzzle game.

Chips was originally released as part of a Microsoft Best of Entertainment Pack in 1995 and became wildly popular and addictive.

It’s a tile based, top-down puzzle game, where you as Chips have to navigate your way through Melinda’s Clubhouse to gain entry to The Bit Busters Club.

Whilst the original game is erroneously labelled as abandonware by many, it’s still available to buy in some places.

However, the good news is that it’s now playable as an online version at WebCC

Alternatively, you can download and play another version of Chips known as Tile World at Muppet Labs.

Just click on the Windows Binary, download, extract and play by hitting Enter when the mouse cursor is in the main box.

And remember, Bill can walk on water, but Chips can’t.
