Thanks for remembering me. Well I nuked the drive again Dariks Boot and Nuke disc cleaner.
I did another install with H/D in IDE mode and alls up and running Thank you.
The only trouble is If the H/D is SATA I do like to run it as SATA, its just me, I do not suppose it
makes any difference to the end result especially when I am only using one drive.
Is there any way I can put the drivers in now so I can change bios to SATA and run it. Or can
you explain the differences it makes so I do not have to worry if it is no difference.

You should be able to download the sata driver from http://www.gigabyte.com/products/produc ... id=3317#dl and install it under Windows. Reboot, enter BIOS, change the setting and be on your way.
The first thing I would do from that page though is download the Chipset/VGA driver and install it. Reboot and change the setting in BIOS. See if it boots. If not, change it back and download the SATA driver. Install, change, repeat.
Double click the download and extract it to a folder on your desktop. Open device manager and something along the lines of IDE/ATA/SATA controllers and open it. Should be one entry inside. Right click and select Update driver. In the window that opens choose Browse and point to the folder where you extracted the drivers.
