Dave, the mail app icon is gone from the start page and the apps page but mail still works. This has happened when my wife logs in. If I log in, then the mail app shows in both the app and start page. I've tried a repair from the apps store but it won't let me make any changes. I'm a little lost here. There are about 800 emails under my wife when she logs in and I would hate to loose them. Any suggestions would be greatful.
Thanks
Ricardo

Hi Ricardo - Welcome to the DCT forum.

Seeing how mail is still working, I'm assuming the app must still be installed. Perhaps the shortcuts have been deleted somehow.

Try this: Log-in to your wife's account, go to the Start Screen and type "Mail" (without the quotation marks). You should see the Mail app listed in the results:

Please let us know if the Mail app appears in the list of search results or not.

Cheers... Jim

Thanks Jim. The search revealed 3 icons for the EM Client email program we are currently using and a white "gear" icon asking to choose a default mail app, no mail icon. If I click that icon, it shows the mail app icon but we know the program is already working.
I installed classic shell.net which my wife really likes and it shows a white icon in programs as windows mail. If I click it mail will open. I guess I have only lost the app icons in Apps and the start page but don't know what I did to lose them unless I deleted them altogether from her profile. As mention, if I log on, everything is there

Ricardo,
Can you post a pic or screenshot that shows what you are seeing?

I've sent an attachment but don't know if I did it in the right way!! Sorry if you don't get anything

Got this after trying to upload the jpeg file:
HTTP Error.
Upload URL might be wrong or doesn't exist.

It should be as simply as clicking attachments below the window where you compose the message, clicking Add Files in the window that opens, select the file, and click Start Upload.

Can you email the attachment to me (dave@ the site domain)? I'll upload it so everyone can see.
