Hi David - In general 32-bit applications will work fine in a 64-bit system, games may be a bit more susceptible to issues - not being a gamer myself I cannot say for certain.

There is no difference in the installation method, simply install as per normal.

If you experience any issues with a game you can always try running in compatibility mode: Right click on the game's execute file and select Properties. Click on the "Compatibility" tab (across the top), enable the option to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and then select a suitable mode from the drop down menu.

What sorts of games are we talking about; on CDs or downloaded?

Cheers mate...Jim

Hi David - To receive email notifications when a reply has been posted you need to click on the "Subscribe" button at the bottom left of the page. You should see three buttons; All RSS, Subscribe, Watch.

OR, to automatically "Subscribe" to every Topic you post in: Go to your Profile (by clicking on your username) and at the top of the page you will see "Viewing Profile - Username" followed by a link in blue text 'Edit User Profile'. Click on that link and on the new page click on the "Options" tab, then click on "Edit Posting Options". You should now see the option to "Auto subscribe to topics I post in", click on the little round icon adjacent to that option and it will turn green. Now just click on the "Update Posting Options" button.

Have you had these games for a while David? From my experience there is less chance of the older games on CDs being compatible, not necessarily because of the 32-bit/64-bit thing more because they are generally designed for XP.

All you can really do is 'suck it and see'. If the games won't work you will often receive some kind of warning at the start of the installation, if they install fine but still won't work properly (even in compatibility mode) then uninstall. Or, you can create a restore point prior to installation and then if they don't work properly use that restore point to restore your system.

To post a reply to a topic just click on the "New Post" (or "Add Post") button at bottom right of the last post. You should see two buttons "New Topic" and "New Post" or "Add Topic" and "Add Post"

Cheers mate...Jim
