How To: Set programs to always run as administrator

Even though UAC and 'permissions' in general are useful security tools they also tend to cause some angst among users. If you are one who loses patience with the almost constant...'you need permission to do this' type messages, here is a simple way to set up regularly used programs so they will always run as administrator:

1) Right click on the program's [i:19oth0b4]shortcut[/i:19oth0b4] icon and select [b:19oth0b4]Properties[/b:19oth0b4].
2) Toward the bottom of the screen you will see three buttons, click on the [b:19oth0b4]Advanced [/b:19oth0b4]button.
3) Enable the option to "Run as administrator".
4) Close out....[b:19oth0b4].OK, Apply, OK[/b:19oth0b4].

Now whenever you start that program from the shortcut it will always run with administrator privileges.

NOTE: Please use this option with caution, as already stated the permissions system and UAC do enhance security.
