when I am trying to install Bluetooth driver for windows 7 (BT_21.40.5_32_Win7) I am getting an error.
( The procedure entry point SetDefaultDllDirectories could not be located in the dynamic link KERNAL32.dll)

Actually, I want to play songs or videos from pc with the help of BlueTooth dongle via bluetooth supporting speaker.

How to fix this problem.

Check to see if Windows Update KB2533623 is installed on your system. If not, you can download from here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/microsoft-security-advisory-insecure-library-loading-could-allow-remote-code-execution-486ea436-2d47-27e5-6cb9-26ab7230c704

Make sure to download the correct file- x86 for a 32-bit system, x64 for a 64-bit system.

The first link you provided support.microsoft.com is showing a message like: we're sorry, this download is no longer available.

And The first link you provided superuser.com after the link and following the instruction provided here is showing a message like: The update is not applicable to your computer.

Please help me to short out this problem..

Did you check your system to see if KB2533623 is installed?

The link to the support.microsoft.com page is working fine here. What browser are you using?

Did you try the link for the replacement update as described at superuser, KB4457144: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4457144

Somehow I have solved the error: The procedure entry point SetDefaultDllDirectories could not be located in the dynamic link KERNAL32.dll.

But now a new issue has been created - Error: The Installation XML file is either missing or corrupted. The setup application will exit!

All of you are requested to help me in fixing this.
Due to covid-19, it is very difficult to come and spend money. I'm in the interior of a village right now so asking for help.

If I do not get help, I will think of going to the city from where I have bought the product.
thank you |

Please open an elevated Command Prompt (run as admin), type in sfc /scannow (note the space between the sfc and the forward slash), and hit Enter.

Let us know the exact message you receive at completion of the scan.

Okay, sorry to hear we couldn't solve the issue. Some issues can be difficult to fix without any hands on.

In all honesty, you should upgrade to Windows 10, things are only going to get worse in Windows 7... compatibility wise.

Anyway, happy to at least try and help out. 🙂

Cheers now... Jim
