I can't uninstall Norton Antivirus from Windows 10 Home. I tried Revo Uninstaller but it did not do a clean uninstall. It left behind a Norton renew subscription ad that keeps popping up. It seems that Norton has also blocked Avast anti-virus which has served me well for many years.

If you feel comfortable using the Registry, you should be able to find all Norton-related entries and deal with them.
Another way to approach this is to use CCleaner's Registry Tool to run a scan and remove the offending Norton entries that way.

jimhebert. Know it is frustrating having problems, so I will try and be as gentle as possible. When stating Revo did not clean everything, chances are you are using a very old (primitive) version. Always helps giving the version number.
There are other programs which might help you clear the registry. Try using Wise Care 365. Let me know if you are interested in others, Mindblower!

Norton along with some other Anti Virus Programs can be a challenge to remove. I will usually use the Geek Uninstaller to remove as much as I can. I will then boot into Safe Mode to delete the left over folders, you will also have to change some of the security properties on some of the folders. I will even, sometimes use the Take Ownership registry entry, if I have too. After everything is removed I will then run CCleaner to purge the registry.
Use Task Manager to make sure Norton startup has been disabled.
Why do you even need anything like Norton or Avast, if you are running W10 Home?
From what I can extract (from my years of posting on forums), the average person who seeks help, is totally unfamiliar with the rules (good/proper behaviour). It is the lack of knowledge, inability to cover details, and utter lack of thanking, even if the problem did not get resolved. I often wonder why help is offered, as in my estimates, only about 1% check in and/or reply (meaning 99% just disappear till the next time they require assistance).
Those who offer assistance are often forced to assume things, since proper information was not given. Like since Windows 10 is mentioned, one assumes the Norton a/v is the most current version. Also, when are the Norton pop-ups popping up? Just to many missing pieces of information. Dare I add more ravings, NO. Maybe a future seeker will stumble over these words and prevent a repeat of History, Mindblower! 🙂

It's likely that Jimhebert received Norton as an add-on when downloading something else, perhaps, in the same manner that McAfee is foisted upon us by other software devs.
When downloading software, it's crucial to read every single step before clicking NEXT, as you may be unwittingly installing all manner of other software.
