This issue might be related to severe memory management error. To fix the issue, we suggest you use Memory Diagnostic Tool which can help you check for possible memory problems, including testing of the Random Access Memory (RAM) on your computer. To do so, follow the steps below:
1. Open Control Panel.
2. Click on System and Security.
3. Click on Administrative Tools.
4. Double-click the Windows Memory Diagnostic shortcut.
• Quick tip: Alternatively, you can also use the Windows key R keyboard shortcut, type mdsched.exe, and click OK to launch the tool.
5. Click the Restart now and check problems option. (The tool also offers an option to schedule a test in the next reboot, if you can't afford to close your applications and restart immediately.)
Once the test is completed, Windows will restart automatically. If the tool detects errors, you should contact your computer manufacturer for information about fixing them, since memory errors usually indicate a problem with the memory chips in your computer or other hardware problem.

Richard, I just noticed I have three WIN10 Updates (WIN 10 version 20H2, MS Defender AntiVirus and MS Defender AntiVirus AntiMalware Platform) available, but every time I try to run them I get Download errors (0x800700de and 0x800b003 for next two). Really weird stuff happening here!
Any other way of getting these updates installed?

Actually, I was not expecting this at all since you assisted me in getting this old horse Gateway DX4831 (that will be 10 years old in two days) up and running using a new SSD drive that was installed.
I am guessing the end has come - Correct? The $64,000 question is will I be able to somehow get my docs safely backed up to a USB drive? It appears that Stop Code - Memory Management blue screen keeps getting in the way.
Any ideas on a new PC that will not break the bank - good for Facebook and general computer usage?

I'm not quite understanding. Did you install a new SSD in the old machine or are you still working with the old HDD?
As far as I know Richard is fine, he's probably busy with other things.
10 years old is a fine old age for a PC, in human years I'd estimate that's about 100 years old. 🙂
Sorry, I can't really recommend a replacement for you, I'm in Australia where prices and models differ quite considerably. Richard would be your best best for that one.
You will have no problem getting data off the old machine, once you have a good working machine it will be no problem.
Get back to me on the hard drive, let me know what drive(s) are currently connected internally.
What did you do with the old drive? Did you leave that connected internally to use as a data drive?
What I am getting at is the error message you are receiving from BIOS indicates that a drive is faulty. I doubt it could be the new SSD so I'm wondering what other drives you might have connected? The message also indicates that the faulty drive is connected to SATA port 2 which is a secondary port. The main drive (containing your operating system) should be connected to SATA port 0 or 1 so I am trying to ascertain what is connected to port 2 on the motherboard.
If the SSD is the only disk drive connected internally I suggest you try disconnecting the ROM drive (CD/DVD drive) and see if that clears the error.
I disconnected the CD/DVD drive and it did not work. It came up with same message.
When I look at the current Ports in my Desktop I find ACHI Port #3 - Hard Drive. All other ACHI Ports from 1-6 are Not Defined except for that Port #3.
Could the SSD that I purchased died already?
Could you do me a favor and let me know when I gave my last donation to DCT? I am trying to find my receipt for when I purchased the SSD.
Any other ideas?

It would be highly unlikely that the SSD has died, unless it was faulty out of the box but I seriously doubt that would be the case.
AHCI Port #3 is the correct port for an SSD on your motherboard. Considering the age of the PC it's quite likely that the "Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller" driver is no longer compatible with the current Windows 10 version and I doubt the motherboard manufacturer would have updated the driver.
You might have to bite the bullet and scrap the old girl... keep the SSD of course.
