Do you think Social Media will make newspapers extinct? After all many newspapers now have a digitized edition. There are so many newspapers left outside on the street that become waste. It is hard to find motor route carriers to rural areas. What about magazines? Will they go by the wayside as well?

You can make your Facebook News Feed a news feed if you really want to. You can hide your most frivolous friends, follow the Facebook page of every national newspaper, and share every News link that comes your way.

How many people really read newspapers anyway anymore? I only read the obituaries and certain sections. I like the ability to customize what is important to me.

If Social Media hasn't, then it is well on the way, although I do still read part of our local paper.

In our area Daniel, we get the local paper M-S and the big Cleveland paper on Sunday. Such a waste but my husband insists on it. I only look at a few sections if and when I have the time. I live in a rural area and there are plastic bags up & down our street with old newspapers lying at the end of driveways. I don't even see newspaper boxes anymore like you used to.

I also know many people that worked for newspapers that lsot their jobs and now do freelance writing.
