I finally managed to install Outlook on my Win 7. Wish it was Outlook Express, but that's another story.
I have a few questions I have not been able to solve with Outlook.
1. How do I keep an Outlook icon in the system tray when the program is not open? It's there when the program is open, but goes away when I close it. Perhaps a 'minimize to system tray' program might work? I think I had one of those once.
2. How do I change the font size for ALL the text? I was able to finally find how to change the email font style and size, but the folders text size is still small. Speaking for folders, it is possible to remove some of them? I don't need or want an 'RSS Feeds' folder in the list. When I right click it, there is a 'delete' option but it's not highlighted so it can't be used.
I sure do miss Outlook Express.
Thanks for all assistance!

Hi Selahgal,
Setting Font in Outlook.com
............................//................................
All actions are 'left' click.
Click the little gear icon, top right, looks like a wheel.
A drop down menu shows 'More Mail Settings' on the list.
Click on it and a new screen opens.
Look on the list and find 'Writing Email'.
Below this you will see 'Formatting Font and Signature'.
Click on this and a new page opens with two sections for you to change to your desired fonts.
If you want an Outlook Express look-alike email program check on PostBox. (which I use for Gmail & Outlook.com)
http://www.postbox-inc.com/
The program is free for 30 days, after which a once-only licence fee is US$9.95 and allows you to add any or all other email accounts in a simple, automatic set-up.
The program is tested to be free of viruses, malware, scareware and other 'nasties.
Kind Regards ....

There is no way to have the icon in the "system tray" when the program isn't running. You can enable the quick launch toolbar and place it there, but the quick launch toolbar is kind of a catch all and it will be full of other stuff before you know it. The best locution is to pin it to the task bar (where the explorer icon and Start Orb are). It will show just the icon when closed and be highlighted when open

I'll have to look into this, but it will be easier if I know which version of Outlook/Office you're using.

Well, you sure pick all the hard questions!
Unfortunately RSS is a default "System" folder in Outlook 2007 and 2010 (if I remember correctly) and can not easily be deleted. You best, and safest bet is to hide it by following the directions at Slapstick - Hide or Delete default folders.

Hey Selahgal, when you're using Outlook, put your cursor on the little Outlook symbol in the left hand corner of the address bar, click and hold down, then drag it to your desktop, and let go. You should now have your icon, it worked for me. Good luck.
I have a desktop icon for Outlook AND I've also pinned it to the taskbar, but never could find a way to keep it in the sys tray. Oh well.

I am using Outlook 2007. Guess I'll just live with the extra UNused folders although I would still like them to be BIGGER.
