Hi altogether,
I want to run "teamviewer" in a sandbox.
"Firejail" is already installed on my system and therefore I tried to run "teamviewer" within "firejail". But that didn´t work. The GUI wouldn´t start. Terminal says: "teamviewer daemon not running" despite the fact that it really is running. Yet this fact isn´t recognized by firejail.
Child process initialized
Init...
XRandRWait: No value set. Using default.
XRandRWait: Started by user.
Checking setup...
Launching TeamViewer ...
Starting network process (no daemon)
terminate called without an active exception
/opt/teamviewer/tv_bin/script/tvw_exec: Zeile 95: 113 Abgebrochen "$TV_BIN_DIR/teamviewerd" -n -f
Network process already started (or error)
Launching TeamViewer GUI ...
The problem seems to be experienced by others too: https://github.com/netblue30/firejail/issues/825 .
Now I´m looking for alternatives. Does anybody know a sandbox with which I can run "teamviewer" in a safe mode?
One possible solution I came up with might be "arkose": https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Arkose/ .
My questions are:
1.) In your opinion would it be possible to run "teamviewer" within "arkose" or might there be a similar problem?
2.) Would I be able to install/use "arkose" in spite of the fact that "firejail" already resides on my system? Or could this combination result in any problems?
Of course any other alternative would be o.k. as well.
Many thanks in advance.
Greetings.
Rosika
