When it comes to software (the FREE type), you might want to draw a simple comparison chart between it and credit cards.

1. Both are useful and often one cannot get by without using one.
2. Both do the job for FREE, thought they most surely have a cost added big brother (sister) with has added bells and whistles (for a mere $$$).
3. Depending one which product (brand) you select, you may get bombarded with the companies junk (e)mail.

Thought I had more (there must be more, so please do add to the list), Mindblower!

Sometimes you get what you pay for!

Although, that doesn't necessarily apply to credit cards...

Well one comparison could be; They both encourage/entice you to spend more money? Free software by offering upgrades to a more feature rich commercial product (in a lot of cases).. and credit cards....well, just because they are there!!
