Hi
I have Windows 10 Home, 64Bit.
I recently downloaded Acrobat PDF Reader, and discovered it to be bloatware. I uninstalled it and it didn't do a clean install. When I run CCleaner it shows several files similar to the following that are still in the register.
InProcserver32\C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\CommonFiles\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroPDF.dll
I tried various other cleaners to no avail.
So I decided to re-install it. Now I am here and want to do a clean un-install of everything relating to this hog.

Hi Jim,
I know that this is too little, too late, but I never advise installing this piece of crap. There are many free alternatives available on the internet. And in many cases, they are a better product. Some are even portable meaning you don't have to install them at all!
To answer your question, might I suggest downloading and installing a good uninstaller? Ashampoo's Uninstaller is one I'd recommend. As good as it is, though, nothing is going to completely remove the many tentacles left behind by this terrible Adobe product.
The only solution that I know of is to make a complete backup of the Windows Registry, Then go through it searching for anything Adobe Acrobat Reader. You might still miss some of its remaining junk, but you should be able to get rid of most of it.
Sorry for the bad news,
Richard

Hi jimhebert. If you have a recent registry backup (made before the install and not after you made other changes to it), you can restore the previous registry.
This is what I used to do before I started using a Uninstall program which monitors your installs. See the link below. Highly recommend, Mindblower!
