Has anyone tried out this software? Can someone recommend this software? Would like to hear from other(s) before stating mine, Mindblower!

No first hand experience of this software myself MB but I was surprised to see that it requires annual renewal...unusual, to say the least, for this type of software.

Personally, I would not pay $30.00 per annum for something like this...I tend to steer well clear of anything which involves ongoing costs anyway.

Plus, to be perfectly honest, I believe one could achieve the same (or similar) results utilizing freeware. Mind you, as I said, no first hand experience, so there might well be something I am missing.

Cheers...Jim

Well ozbloke, I was a little taken back when I saw you posted the review. As mentioned, I'd rather wait and hear from someone whose tried out the product, Mindblower!

MB - Information posted here is not meant in any way as a "review" mate. I am not making any suggestions or recommendations.

I am merely passing on the information to our members/readers. It's then up up each individual to do the research and decide whether they want it or not.

Sorry ozbloke. My apologies for misunderstanding. I've tried out several software programs you've passed along, and probably all passed with flying colours. Since no one has yet replied, I'll share my comments.

[b:rgzru1s3]This programs should be treated with [color=#FF0000:rgzru1s3]extreme caution[/color:rgzru1s3]. It may do exactly as stated, but, it does NOT give the user any advanced warning. [/b:rgzru1s3]

When installing, it asks for permission to add a program and alter your browser (I believe). Then it launches itself in a trial mode, [u:rgzru1s3]and immediately starts finding and removing data[/u:rgzru1s3]. You need to move quickly to stop it.

Once you relaunch, you're able to view the menu, enter the key, but there is no way to list (to show you) what would be removed (or be given a chance to cancel), once you START. It most likely will clear (destroy) everything (which might be what some folks want/need), but not what your typical Ccleaner, or ClearProg program do.

If you want to purge your computer without reinstalling your o/s, this program might be exactly what one needs. To simply remove some clutter, [u:rgzru1s3]remove[/u:rgzru1s3] being the key word, [b:rgzru1s3]Privacy Guardian is over kill[/b:rgzru1s3].

I did not test out this program too long or try out all the features, just enough to know of the potential dangers it can cause, Mindblower!

Thanks for the heads up MB. The program comes from PCTools so I am a little surprised at your findings...not overly though.

I should clarify something too; when I said - [i:117gkoya]Information posted [u:117gkoya]here[/u:117gkoya] is not meant in any way as a "review"[/i:117gkoya] - the 'here' I was referring to was this particular section.

When this section first kicked off, I used to pick and choose a bit. Then I realised that software choices are really subjective and so decided that, provided it was from a reasonably reputable vendor and met established safety standards, I would put it up and let the readers decide.

Thanks again...Jim
