The latest Windows patch might of disabled the setting of your browser, and you might be getting asked "do you want to make it default" each time you use it.

This is what you need to do for the correction to take effect. In the Control Panel search and locate the Default Program Icon. Select the Set Program Access and Computer Default (should be on the bottom). Check and select the Custom (also on the bottom). Should have the ball within the circle. Now move the mouse along to the down arrows and (Note: Clicking will reset to default but you can correct/set to new settings) click. After you finish making your limited selections, click Okay, test to see if your browser works correctly now. Believe this is necessary if you use more than one browser, Mindblower!
