Has anyone noticed or considered how much we spend on yearly software subscriptions? I for one take the option wherever possible to get the lifetime version, when it is offered. The savings are unbelievable.

Years ago, we bickered at the cost for a new version of Windows, especially when it involved more than one computer. And I was one of those grippers. Needless to say, we get our moneys worth with the o/s. Constant upgrades and patches, and if you are using some of the older versions, many years of support. A round of applause to Microsoft.`

Regular software we use (apart of what is offered for free) is soaring yearly. When it comes to security software, we either that what is part of the o/s and/or the free versions. Some many rightly comment there is little need for additional or improved versions. I prefer to put my trust with companies that just do one product, and improve on it constantly. I try and not put my eggs into one basket, so to speak.

This year I ended one renew subscription because the cost for the benefit was no longer there. Oddly thought, I purchased two lifetime versions this year.

If you have the means, you might consider shelling out some money for that free version if you use it regularly. Might assist the authors to improve and/or make other software products, Mindblower!
