Hey guys, other than the obvious, "get a new rig" answer, do you have any suggestions for a free antivirus that will run somewhat smooth on an old Pentium 4, 2.80 GHz,with 3 GB RAM, without eating up all the resources ? He still uses the old thing and just can't handle the idea of upgrading. It's a case of, til death do them part, I guess.

Bitdefender Free would probably be the lightest of all on resources Claw. But I don't think he'd have any trouble running Avira or Avast either with those specs.

Hey Jim, they all come running to me thinking I'm a security expert. He was using Panda Free but says it's light but seems to be causing small problems since installing it, like script running errors and freezing up every now and then. Thanks Jim, I'll pass it on.
