For some reason whenever I connect my Printer via USB , to the LENOVO laptop I lose my internet connection (WiFi), so have tried several times now to disable the WI-FI on the printer and have followed the guidelines (Below) but never works and W-Fi stays on the printer, am at a loss what to do now,I don't need the Printer wireless connection....Thanks

How do I turn off the Wi-Fi on my Canon printer?
Switching/Disabling Wireless Connection Function
Make sure that the printer is turned on.
Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and release it when the Wi-Fi lamp flashes.
Press the Black button. ...
Press the Wi-Fi button repeatedly to switch the wireless connection function or to disable it.

Have you tried disconnecting the printer in your router settings? Router settings change from router to router but if you access the router's setup utility you should see a section with the title "Wireless" or "WAN" or similar. Locate the listing for your Canon printer and there should be an option to "Disable", "Disconnect", "Remove", or similar.

Also, I came across a guide for disabling wifi on a Canon printer which is slightly different to what you have already tried. It's for a different model but maybe worth a try: MG3600 Disable Wireless LAN Function.
