Thanks for the heads up on your giveaways.
I still would like to see a version number to compare to what I may already have installed. For example, I have version 7.5.7 of Win X DVD Ripper already installed (from the 10/4/2014 www. giveawayoftheday.com offering) so obviously it would be nice to know if I would be upgrading it to a higher level.
I agree with you Dan, but unfortunately, as you are well aware, the majority of vendors do not include a version number in the information, so the only way I could identify the version would be to download and install each and every giveaway software myself. Something which I think may be just a tad over and above the call of duty. 🙂
Actually, I am surprised DCT does not check out the software it recommends to its readers. Better to screw up and restore your one system than all your subscribers.

Are you serious Dan! Just because I’m unable to quote an exact version number doesn’t mean the software hasn’t been thoroughly checked out. We vet our recommended software more than any other site. I personally scan each piece of software through Virus Total, as well as going through the installation process in a virtual environment to see what extras might be bundled and report on same, plus check each vendor’s site reputation through LinkExtend, which includes ratings from 7 different advisories.
We’ve been testing and recommending Digiarty (WinX) software for years, I even use several of their products myself. If a software is recommended by DCT, subscribers can rest assured it has been thoroughly vetted and is a quality, safe software.
To imply otherwise is way off the mark.

The article is clearly dated November 2014, as are all the associated comments. In other words, this giveaway took place and expired more than 12 months ago!
I/m not making a dick of myself the offer was made on dec 15th 2015 for digiatry platinum ripper v7.5.12 offer expires 20th dec 2015 Ijust saw your offer the same product but a different date older version & could/nt get a reply from digiatry & probably won/t as I/ve read they don/t reply I should have put all these details in for every moe,curly &larry to understand my complaint for so called giveaways that cost you 7 don/t exist

If so, why didn’t you post your comment under that one rather than one which hasn’t been pertinent for more than 12 months? At least then we’d have some idea of what you are on about.
For your information, I personally check out each and every one of these giveaways to make sure they work properly. In fact, it appears the current WinX DVD Ripper Platinum giveaway (v7.5.12) has been extended. It worked fine then and is still working fine now.
Did you ever consider that asking for assistance would probably be a lot more productive than making uneducated accusations.

I could/nt find anything relating to comments to the 2015 offer only yours so I got digiatry email address & emailed to them in there comments Iread fom 1 unhappy customer the y don/t reply & lack support for there products. if you can download it & get it working I would like you to email me instructions as I/ve tryed 3 times&can/t get it free only PAY for it
