Bearing in mind that XP’s end of support date is just around the corner, and many XP users will be looking to upgrade their operating system, we thought this might be a timely and useful prize.
DCT is pretty much the ‘home’ of Windows 8/8.1. Dave, myself, and Richard are all running Windows 8.1 and we all like the new operating system. Between us, we have written and published numerous articles, all drawn from first hand experience – guides, tips, how-tos, and the like – to help users setup and manage their new operating system.
It’s a terrific resource for anyone upgrading to Windows 8 or 8.1 and you can access all those articles in the one place by utilizing the ‘Post Categories’ feature in the right hand navigation panel. Just click on the ‘Windows 8’ item to view a list of links to all relevant titles:
For your chance to win the Windows 8.1 64-bit disc and genuine product key, all you need do is simply submit a reply to this article with a comment. We’d prefer if you told us a little about yourself and why you would like a copy of Windows 8.1.
*Now, DCT has never limited its giveaways to Facebook and/or Twitter account holders, our policy has always been “open to everyone”, and we are not changing that now. However, it would be very much appreciated if all Facebook and Twitter account holders who enter the contest could Share, or Like, or Tweet, or whatever you can do to help spread the word. Thanks!

Прогаммное обеспечение должно быть подлинным, а если это ещё и подарок, то вообще замечательно!
This would be a good 58th birthday present, thanks for all you do for us Dave!!!!!
We have just 1 PC with Windows 8.1 and I like it. But most if not all of our 8 staff members don’t like it. People just don’t like change. But it boots faster, runs fasters and shuts down faster. What’s not to like.
I work at a large facility where we use Windows 7, and I have had no experience with Windows 8. I would like the chance to upgrade to this system and to learn the “insides and outs” of the new OS. THANKS for all you do!
I would rather upgrade than buy a new computer. I hope to will 8.1 from my favourite computer helpers.
Hi, Great offer and very timely. I’m not asking for a copy of Win 8.1 for myself as I already have it. However I have been asked by a pensioner friend, Jean who still uses Win XP to help install software on her pc so she can contact relatives abroad. I suggested updating her OS first to ensure everything works ok, and for a long time. My time is free and it would be nice to be able to tell her she has won a free OS upgrade from DCT. Thank you in anticipation of a positive outcome for Jean.
I want to upgrade my system to the next Gen OS. I am a tech freak and an early adopter.

I have been waiting for Window 8 to be keyboard and mouse friendly, Who want to smear oil from their fingers all over their screen and then try to see through it, or even has a touch sensitive screen? Today it my birthday so to win would would be a nice gift.
Been reluctant to purchase and install 8.1 after all the reviews. Would love to get a copy so I can determine for myself if it is the next great thing from MS or another bomb like ME & Vista.

This is my second attempt to enter this contest since my first entry isn’t showing up. I would love to upgrade to 8.1 from 7.
Thanks
I would like this copy of Windows 8.1 so that I could finish building my wife’s computer that will be used for her job.
I would like to upgrade with the new Windows 8.1
I need it, I need it. My boss’s wife’s laptop died, the recovery media is corrupt, I have swapped out the hard drive, but do not want to reload Windows vista on the machine, with the clean hard drive would like to load Windows 8.1 for her, but do not have the cash to purchase it. I could score some big points with her and thus the boss as well.

It seems that my first comment was removed and I don’t understand why.
I really could put this software to good use. I have a Windows XP computer that I need to upgrade. Thank you for this giveaway.
I presently have a vista system and it is getting very slow to load and run programs. I do computer work for seniors and would like to better myself with Windows 8. I have used 8 in other machines but do not have the system in my desktop. Would like to upgrade from vista to 8 since it is a lot faster to run. The more I become familiar with 8 the better I am to help others with the same system. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in the give away.
