DCT Giveaway: 3 x Sandisk Extreme 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drives

Congratulations to Dale Hilliard, Shane Frisinger, and Bob Tombs. Each one will receive a new Sandisk USB 3.0 Flash Drive!

I work a lot with videos and with clients’ machines so I have quite a few different flash drives on hand – all sorts of capacities and brands, both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 – and these Sandisk Extremes are by far and away the quickest of the lot.

NOTE: The Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 flash drive is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. I’ve used this flash drive with a USB 2.0 system and the speed is still remarkable.

The Sandisk Extreme is a little more expensive than your run-of-the-mill flash drives so it took me a while before I finally coughed up the additional moolah and purchased one. Now, I would not buy any other.

I got the surprise of my life when first transferring a heap of 1GB video files over to the Sandisk Extreme and saw the progress bar just whizzing across at a rate of knots. With advertized transfer rates of up to 245MB/s they really are very quick, very quick indeed.

  1. Thanks! It’s been awhile since I bought a USB flash drive.. i think my largest is 16GB USB 2.0. I would love to win a Sandisk Extreme 32GB; it should be a useful device and a nice upgrade from my other flash drives.

  2. First…Thanks to all who make this juicy offer. I don’t know whether I could just go out and buy one of these Sandisks, but
I would be tickled to have one for backups, and other imaginative
endeavors. I like this site and it has contributed to the lessening of
me computer ignorance. Without meeting him, Jim Hillier seems
like the Teacher never met with that friendly face. Good luck to
    us all, and thanks again.

    Jim

  3. Flash drives are the quintessential “disk drive” for storing all forms of files and security programs to protect against the proliferation of malicious software.

A faster more efficient flash drive such as the Sandisk Extreme can further enhance the PC experience!

  4. I would love to win this fabulous 3 x Sandisk Extreme 32 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive. I would clone my Windows 7 OS in case I upgrade to Windows 10 and don’t like it. And I would create and add a bootable Windows 7 USB flash drive. Also and most importantly, my 5 year old HP desktop disk/fan, (I am not sure which) spins fast and very loud at times, and has notified me that I am close to a hard disk failure. Taking all of this into account, I need this excellent Sandisk Extreme Flash Drive. Thank you for this opportunity to win it.

  5. Wow. Great giveaway. Sandisk is a great brand; very reliable products. Been awhile since I bought one of these, so I could use another good quality USB drive, so hope I am lucky enough.

I would love to have this Sandisk to put my files on and know where everything is. I keep forgetting where I put which file into which file on my pc… I love this site and all the things I learn… Jim Hiller makes everything easy for me to understand. If I would of had him as a teacher I dont think I would of had to cheat my way out of high school.
    Be well all

  7. I currently use this model of Sandisk and enjoy its performance.
    Thanks for the drawing opportunity.

  8. Always use Sandisk and the chance to gain another is welcome, thank you.

    Regards.

  9. Thanks to Sandisk and DCT for this remarkable offer. This USB 3.0 drive would really be an asset for my computer efforts. The large capacity will really be helpful.

  10. This is a nice drive, but the price has kept me from getting one. I would use it mainly to share/stream videos and images when I’m out visiting.

  11. I would like to win one because it’s super sexy and a very reliable storage device on the go which is very very useful. Thank you very much for the chance to actually win one.

  12. Michael Kristensen

I would like to win because a bigger usb drive you can always use 🙂

  13. Gerald Shimizu

This flash drive will suit me fine in that it has a lot of storage space and USB 3.0.

  14. I so need a trusty backup for my stuff on- the -go speedy too ,thanks for the chance!

  15. Tanith Messenger

Great competition! I’m always in need of flash drives as I take lots of photos!

  16. Barrie Templeton

This drive would be great to let me carry my favourite music to whatever system I am currently working on!

  17. Sandisk seems to be the best company to buy flash drives from… but other companies die so early… that’s the main reasoin why I’d like to win. Being able to carry one around my neck would be nice too because I sometimes misplace them.
