  1. Sounded great until I went to install it. Good Lord! It has more “special” offers than I’ve ever seen. Probably a dozen! Not that it’s a big problem though. For starters, make sure you click the faded label – Custom Installation (best practice), or you’ll be the proud owner of a new toolbar, search engine, and home page.
After opting out/declining all the offers, the installer wanted to install a to folder called “Free Center”. Probably benign, but by then, I wasn’t certain whether I really wanted the mystery folder on this computer, so I aborted the install.

    Just one user’s experience.

    1. Hey sirpaul – I checked this product’s installation process prior to publishing the article, just checked through it again now after reading your comment. Nothing like that here – no bundling, no toolbars, nothing extraneous at all, just a perfectly straightforward install. I don’t understand how we could have totally different experiences. Did you download from the link supplied in Aimersoft’s email?

      Cheers… Jim

      1. That’s probably the issue. I downloaded from Aimersoft’s site (next to the “Get it free” button, from your page link. I was doubly surprised, because:
        1) You usually mention those things, if any.
        2) I’ve downloaded other Aimersoft freebies (a while back) and didn’t have the same issue.

  2. It should be noted that it is not compatible with 64 bit systems. Wont install.

    1. Installed fine in my Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit system… no problem. Even 32-bit programs which do not natively support 64-bit will generally install and run fine in 64-bit systems. In fact, I’ve never come across one which doesn’t. They are just unable to take advantage of the 64-bit architecture.
Did you receive any error message at all Brian?

  3. It hangs half way thru and then turns my cap locks on and hogs all my system resources of 8 gigs.

    1. Definitely something amiss there Brian. I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with 64-bit. Using all that RAM sounds rather like some kind of software conflict but turning on Caps Lock is definitely weird. I suggest you scan the machine in question for malware.

  4. Hi Jim Installed the program recorded a tune worked well, On playback I had no sound went to my music folder tried another tune no sound. I uninstalled the program and my sound returned, re installed but would not let me register, any idea’s.

    Cheers.

    1. Hey Emlyn – Did you use the original license code when trying to re-register? If so, these giveaways generally only allow for one activation.

Try visiting the giveaway page and going through the process again to receive a new license code via email. The new license code should work okay.

      Cheers mate… Jim

  5. Hi Jim, no I used one of my other emails with the same results so I tried Windows 8.1 works a treat, thanks for another great freebie.

    Cheers.
